Street Art

The Roman Hotels group is the first private commissioner of public artworks created by renowned international street artists.

Hotel Roma Aurelia Antica will welcome you with a monumental “firework”, a 30-metre-high composition of shapes and colours painted by the street artist Moneyless on the exterior façade of the hotel.

Moneyless

The artist created a mural cycle titled “Roma 0116”, composed of three large-scale works that wrap around the building in a triangular layout, covering a total surface of approximately 1,000 square metres.

It is the largest abstract painting in the Capital. Moneyless is an internationally acclaimed artist: his public artworks enrich the streets and squares of major cities across at least four continents, while his private works have been acquired and exhibited by prestigious Italian institutions such as the MACRO in Rome.

He is also the author of some of the most important public art commissions in recent years, promoted, among others, by the Fondazione Roma, Museo Pecci, and Palazzo Collicola Arti Visive in Spoleto.

Salvo Ligama

The young talent from Catania, Salvo Ligama, rises to the challenge of this commission with the diptych "Don't Care", painted on the walls of the Conference Center.

The shadow of a titanic hand is captured in the act of enclosing a palm tree under glass. In the background, we see a “low-resolution” magnification created by decomposing the image into a pixelated carpet of palm seeds.

Works with such expressive power need no explanation. It is the delicacy, elegance, and immediacy with which the artist handles content across a vast pictorial surface that makes these images so powerful for our time, or better yet, for the urgent transformations of contemporary consciousness.
